London doesn’tlook like thisuntil 11pm
A night and street photography studio in London. Long exposures, lit portraits and city commissions, shot between dusk and the last train.
Anyone can shoot a city at noon
Dynamo is a one-person studio built entirely around the hours most photographers pack up. Sodium light, wet tarmac, shop signage, the six seconds a night bus takes to cross frame.
That means working with what the street already gives you and adding only what it’s missing — a gelled speedlight, a longer shutter, four hours of standing in one place. No composite skies, no borrowed backgrounds. If it’s in the frame, it was there.
Based in London. On the ground in Madrid and Osaka last year. Available for commissions anywhere the lights stay on.

What I get commissioned for
Four kinds of job, one working method. Rates depend on usage and crew — tell me the brief and you’ll have a number the same day.
City & Location
Streets, transit, architecture and weather, shot between dusk and 3am. For tourism boards, property, editorial and anyone who needs a place to look like somewhere.

Portrait & Editorial
People lit on location with practicals, gels and whatever the street is already doing. Musicians, founders, crews, and one very patient person in Madrid.

Brand & Campaign
Product and campaign work built around a night set — cars, apparel, drinks, anything that reads better under sodium and LED than under a softbox.

Travel Series
Multi-day documentary sets shot on assignment abroad. The Osaka series below was ten nights, one 24mm, and a lot of standing still.

How a job runs
Brief
A call, a shared reference board, and a straight answer on whether I am the right photographer for it.
Recce
I walk the location at the hour we plan to shoot. Light changes; a daytime scout tells you nothing about 11pm.
Shoot
Small crew, fast setups, permits handled. Selects are on your phone before the equipment is back in the van.
Deliver
Graded masters inside five working days, in every crop and colour space your channels need.
Osaka/ten nights
A self-funded documentary set shot across Shinsekai and Namba in autumn 2025. One body, one 24mm, no tripod permits and a lot of waiting for the street to empty. Sixty frames survived the edit; three of them are here.
Tell me what you’re shooting
The brief template below opens in your mail client with the five things I need to quote: what, where, when, how it gets used, and the range you’re working to. Anything else is a bonus.
